COPD can be a debilitating disease especially when you are the one that are smoking the cigarettes. Smokers tend to get it since the chemicals in those cigarettes are harmful to the body. Unfortunately, we still have a long way to go on preventing people dying from COPD. And the only way to get treatment for copd is to stop smoking. Some people have a hard time to stop smoking but hopefully, one day, that problem will not be as big of an issue as of now.
For most smokers, their first memory had to do with the people that are influencing to get into the smoking habit. It is hard to get off of unless something so powerful like cancer could be the answer to it. The only way to help the people to get treatment for copd is to help motivate them to do something with their health. Sometimes, we need to remind them that the only way to get the treatment for copd is to get some help.
There are some success stories of people that were able to quit smoking which is the only treatment for copd available. No matter how many medications that the doctors can prescribe, it is never a treatment for copd in order to prevent a disease from forming.
In the meantime, there is no other treatment for copd with the exception to quit smoking. Smokers tend to let their stress levels take over which is why they assume they needed it. Without those chemicals to make it so addictive to smoke, those cigarettes would not be sold as well as now and because of it, there are people that are dying from smoking related.
If you know someone that needed a treatment for copd, you can see that it can be hard for everyone to accept because it is happening to someone they care about. Getting treatment for copd can be somewhat hard to accomplish and unfortunately, some people did not succeed with the process to quit smoking.
In the meantime, we can still work on trying to find some ways to convince some smokers to quit smoking before they needed other forms of treatment for copd which might not come someday.
