Shifting my way around the planet has taken a lot out of me. Bringing all my stuff with me on the other hand has been just about impossible. Limiting myself to the bare essentials has not proved to work neither has the frequency of my moves. In a sense moving companies have been my only ally in this trip called life. Finding good moving companies on the other hand has not. My experience with some moving companies have left me in the dust. These guys have stolen from me mis handled some of my possessions, dropped my stuff, and have forgotten many of my things. I can do nothing but be upset and just dwell on that fact that when i die i will not have any of those things . Aside from that moving companies have been just as much a hassle as a help. Some moving companies prefer to pack your stuff for you. That has also not gone very well. Being a good hider and not such a good seeker has been an ailment i suffer from. They say those color coded room boxes help, well all the stuff i hide in my bedroom has been left behind and never retrieved. No one wants to make the i forgot some personal stuff in your new apartment call. Packing my own things over a long period of time is the best bet. Taking your time going threw all the stuff i have accumulated, and then throwing it out is a very gratifying process. Knowing what i have already purchased usually discourages me from buying that again. So in the long run i only ever buy things i have never had thus distilling my likes and narrowing down my need for certain brick-a-brack. Moving companies are all dicey so be sure to pack your own things and take your time. You do not want to forget any thing in another country do you?
