Rochester is a city located in Monroe, New York. The city is one of the metropolitan cities of the United States and advanced infrastructure and facilities are available over there. Rochester NY is a city full of cultural values and traditions. No, doubt the beauty of the city is enhanced by the park lands. For example, Highland Park, Cobbs Hill Park, Maplewood Park, Seneca Park and Ontario Beach Park are some of the most famous parklands in Rochester NY. In addition, Rochester NY has thirteen full time recreation centers and nineteen swimming programs. Tourists from all over the world come to watch the other attractions of the city including three artificial ice rinks. For the sports lovers there are sixty six softball and baseball fields, forty seven tennis courts and the five large footballs. Soccer and basketballs are also two other commonly played games in Rochester NY and therefore, there are seven soccer fields and forty three outdoor basketball courts. Rochester NY is also known as The Flower City and Lilac Festival is arranged every year in the city. This festival is celebrated every May for ten days. About 400 varieties of Lilac are presented in the festival and near about 10,000 people come on the festival. Despite the reputation as a metropolitan city, Rochester NY has always promoted the local culture. About twenty miles southwest of Rochester, there is a Genesee Country Village and Museum. This village preserves the local architecture, model gardens, and sporting and carriage museums. In addition to the preservation of the cultural values, festivals are also organized in the city. For example, on the fourth of July, in summers the village is lit with fireworks. The Rochester NY accent is a form of Inland Northern American English. This accent is very similar to Chicago or Detroit accent. Moreover, because of the huge diversity in the city, the language and accent of the people differ greatly. Therefore, Rochester NY is considered as an ideal city to spend the peaceful days of life. .
